Since yesterday I played probably around 6 Warzone 2.0 matches with no problem (finished my last match a few minutes ago). Now when I try to play it, when I click 'Battle Royale Solos' I get the "Purchase Modern Warfare II to have access to everything" window (I've also tried the other BR variants with the same result). People like buying skins a lot, pure and simple, that is why. You are also wrong about the lifespan of a game being 1 year. COD games are easily good for 2-3 years except odd/niche modes. And they are playable even after for years, even with cheater lobbies. because I want to be cute.
Nah the robbery was paying $70 for MW2. I’m jealous of those who didn’t and buy mw3 and get everything we had in mw2 right down to a playlist of the “favourite” maps. This carry over thing is fine, but hard not to feel cheated when mw3 purchasers are only missing out on spec ops and raids, I didn’t pay $70 for that…. Don't count on it unless it's a Winter Sale or Black Friday for 10% which isn't even the normal price of old triple A titles lol. I paid £60 for key from cdkeys which is on Steam. £60 is almost $70 though. May as well get it on Steam instead. For a game of franchise that isnt normally discounted, you take what you get.
I bought the game for 35% off when they did a sale in the summer. I think I paid like $42 for it. But honestly if I knew how much I would love the game, I would have paid the full $60 in a heartbeat for it. Just wait til like Black Friday or around this Christmas season; it’ll probably go on sale then.
The call of duty games also are notorious for missing most of the game. Other publishers have been doing a good job including the 1.0 version of the game on disc. This allows you to at least save some time if you’re in an area of low speed or lack of internet access.
