I have a Focus Titanium 2019 diesel (but registered December 31st 2018) Manual. Doesn’t need ad blue but is the Ecoblu engine. Since the beginning, I have had problems with auto hold turning itself off randomly. This also goes along with intermittent failure to apply the parking brake on engine s
2017 Ford explorer, keyless. intermittent starting issue, everything dead, no dash lights no powerdoorsnothing. check battery at 12.2-12.4v. Starts later, sometimes within min with nothing else done. Has happen both cold or hot. tried to look for a ground problem but did not find anything yet, changed keyfob batteries and still happens
Fuel system leaks are the normally the cause of failed first start, especially if the car is still warm. You could “prime” the system by pressing the start button (without the clutch in), then turn it off, and then try to start. That will engage the fuel pump twice and have a better chance at starting. At least that worked on a Sentra with
Hi, I have intermittent starting issues with my 2010 2.0 TDCI galaxy. It fires and turns over but doesn't start. Can be fine for days and then it can take 5 or 10 cranks of the key. Doesn't seem to be any pattern in weather conditions, cold or warm engine etc. etc. I've only once had a warning light on - on collection of my car from a garage Short version of whats wrong with the car and important notes: - Mostly heat related starting problem. - The car drives perfectly. - The ECU is not the problem. - Disconnecting the ECT sensor will get the car to start almost 99% reliably although rough starting and sometimes starting then stalling out immediately will occur sometimes. - ECT 1999 to 2016 Super Duty - intermittently losing dash power, gauges, radio, ect. - I have a 2007 6.0 with 260k on it losing gauges and radio intermittently while driving. Lately 2-3 times a day, lasting 3-4 seconds a time. I have heard it could be the shift lever, instrument cluster, fuses, etc. Soooo, update on where we got to with my s max. Mechanic did a drop test on the battery (to check for voltage drop to ground) and was all functioning correctly. Ran some diagnostics and it finally settled on a faulty ignition relay (which would also explain the power steering low volts fault). g00j.
